The Domestic Violence Intervention Program provides crisis intervention, advocacy and support services to adult and youth victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and trafficking.

Our 24 hour hotline is answered by certified domestic abuse advocates that can assist with emergency safety, brief counseling, emergency housing, safety planning, and assistance with community systems such as law enforcement, courts, health services and DHS.

The Mission of the Domestic Violence Intervention Program is to provide comprehensive support and advocacy services to victim/survivors, focusing on immediate and long-term safety, empowerment, dignity, and hope.

In collaboration with the community, we strive to end domestic abuse through education, accountability, and social justice. Our service are includes Cedar, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Johnson, Lee, Van Buren and Washington Counties.

TEEN line is available to answer questions or to talk to teens who may be uncomfortable discussing certain topics with other people they know. Examples of topics teens call about include healthy eating/weight, relationships with parents or friends, violence, alcohol or drug use, stress, etc.

The TEEN Line is not a crisis or "hotline", but it is staff 24 hours a day through the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Iowa State University Extension. It is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.
